The social network is getting a makeover
Since its launch in 2010, Instagram has come a long way. Change of logo, appearance of the video format, stories, Reels… The social network has seen many innovations.
And Instagram is not about to stop. Indeed, many updates will soon be arriving. For example, the shopping tab will disappear shortly.
Yes, this function, launched in 2018, allowed Internet users to access the products highlighted on the posts in order to buy them. But it didn’t have the desired effect. Thus, since 2022, the Reels button came to replace it.
And this is not the only update promised by the Instagram teams. Indeed, the employees have also decided to clean up the ads broadcast on the app.
Thereby, gender-targeted teen ads will soon leave Instagram. It was the parent company Meta which announced it on January 11th. The objective is to protect this public by preserving their sanity and influence.
It must be said that for years, many associations have deplored the shortcomings of Instagram. Worship of beauty, thinness, wealth, superficiality… All these elements can degrade self-esteem and confidence.
And Elon Musk seems to agree. Indeed, the boss of Tesla published a tweet in which he attacks Instagram, but also Twitter. MCE TV tells you more!
Instagram makes people depressed & Twitter makes people angry. Which is better?

Elon Musk attacks Instagram
Networks allow beautiful things, but also have bad sides. In fact, they are vectors of complexes and problems. It has already been proven that social networks like Instagram impact mental health.
Indeed, being exposed to the ultimate in the lives of others, star or not, can lead to an attitude of comparison and loss of self-confidence. And that, Elon Musk summed it up well on Twitter.
He tweeted: ” Instagram makes people depressed and Twitter angers them. What is better? ». A widely shared and commented post. The tweet has 65 million views over 600,000 likes. Huge !
Thus, some of his followers responded to the tweet, giving their advice on not being embittered on Twitter. Everyone then has their own opinion.
“Twitter doesn’t make me angry. It makes me laugh all day. Advice, don’t follow all the politicians and media reporters”, explains one of them. Elon Musk also replied: ” I laugh a lot on Twitter hahaha”.
This isn’t the first time Elon Musk has taken to Instagram. Indeed, in 2018, in the podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, he declared: “people seem to have a much better life there than in reality”.
